1. Fill in the form  ( go to Step 1 ) with all information about the proposed Solar PV system.

2. Other required documents and / or photos ( this page ).
3. We will email you either, a request more information, or confirm that we have enough information to proceed, then request Check or PayPal® payment. See Rate Chart.  Depending on the PV system, your permit should take around 3-10 business days.

 - Step 2 - 


 Other documents and / or photos are required to accurately complete your Solar PV permit.

 

  Please include the following attached to an email to us.

  •  Please use either MSWord, MSExcel, Adobe PDF, Visio, or scan a handmade drawing, to create a simple layout, or outline, of your  house ( or other structure ) that will require Solar PV modules .  See example.

On the drawing, show:    

1. the location of your main breaker panel

2. the locations and quantity, as a group, of your proposed panels on each roof section that will require Solar PV modules 

3. the locations of wiring and conduit to each panel section - indicate if using the attic underneath the roof, is acceptable

4. the location of the required AC disconnect switches or electrical box that would contain the AC disconnect switches

5. indicate, with an arrow, the direction of North

6. the dimensions of ALL outer wall edges

7. an estimate of roof overhang for each roof section that will require Solar PV modules

8. the locations of roof obstacles, i.e. pipes, vents, chimneys, skylights, dormers, etc.

9. the distance from the street to the closest point of your house ( or other structure ), or from both streets, if a corner lot

 

  • A photo of your main breaker panel with the door closed, showing the incoming power cables and meter, if possible.
  • Photos of your main breaker panel with the inner door ( if any ) closed and the outer door open - clearly showing the individual circuit breakers within.  Do NOT touch any live circuits.
  • A close-up photo of the label on the main breaker panel - showing the manufacture, the rated amps and voltage.
  • If possible, photos of your roof, front, back, sides, etc.
